In this article we'll show you how to solve the issue of the 'Trust this computer' prompt not appearing.

When connecting your device to your computer for the first time, a prompt should appear on your device asking you to ‘Trust this computer’. In order to perform the scan, Certo AntiSpy requires you to accept the connection on your device by tapping ‘Trust’.

If this prompt does not appear on your device when connecting it to your computer for the first time, please try the following solutions:

For Mac

1. Trigger the prompt from your Mac:

For macOS 10.15 Catalina or later: Open Finder, click your device in the sidebar and then click ‘Trust’.

For macOS 10.14 Mojave or earlier: Open iTunes, a message should appear asking you to allow this computer to access your device. Click ‘Continue’.

2. If the prompt still does not appear on your device, please reset your privacy settings and then try reconnecting. To do this, on your iPhone/iPad go to Settings > General > Reset and tap ‘Reset Location & Privacy’. Please note, this will not remove any user data from your device, but you may need to re-grant permissions, such as location, in apps that require it.
