In this article we will show you how to use Intruder Detection on your Android device.

Certo Mobile Security’s Intruder Detection feature helps you catch someone trying to access your device without your permission. You can choose from various detection and alert options. Instructions for each are described below:

Tip: Deactivate Intruder Detection using the On/Off switch at the top before changing your detection method or action. You cannot make changes while Intruder Detection is running.

Detect when your device is moved and take a secret photo of the intruder*

Set this before leaving your device anywhere unattended (e.g. your bedside table at night, your desk at work or in a locker) to catch snoopers in the act.

Setting Up

  1. Launch Certo Mobile Security and tap ‘Intruder Detection’.
  2. Tap ‘Movement’, then tap ‘Take Photo’. Grant the app permission to use the camera, if prompted.
  3. Tap the ‘On/Off’ switch at the top.
  4. You will now have 10 seconds to place your device on a flat surface before motion detection starts.
  5. When instructed at the end of the countdown, carefully lock your device.
  6. The app will now continually check for motion and will take a secret photo using your device’s front camera the next time it is moved. Once motion is detected and the photo is taken, Intruder Detection will switch off automatically.

Viewing Captured Photos

  1. Unlock your phone and return to the Intruder Detection page in Certo Mobile Security.
